"Yes, it's nice"

date: October 27, 2009

It's a quality ame overall, but there are a few things I don't care for.

I don't like the drug references.
I question the use of guns and knives in a game like this.

A few changes that should be made:

Everybody should start with the same stats. You shouldn't have to roll.
Interest rate depends far too much on luck, and that can determine how well you will score.
The worth of your property should be factored in on total worth.
The selling of commodities seems hardly worthwhile.

But, all in all, it's a nice game. Just not a 10.

Sincerely,

Rusk Reeder

"A Quality Game"

submission: Office Chimp
date: July 24, 2009

This is a quality game that is part office sim part dating sim. Your work your weay up the office ladder bky getting in good favor with your coworkers. You also have to deal with jealously between the coworkers. Although like the Hurrell brothers" games, there is some modern anarchist humor. However, it's a little less trashy than that of the Hurrell brothers, which is a good thing.

Pros:
Good artwork.
Solid game design.
Intelligent.
Very challenging.

Cons:
The trashiness is not bad and has some genuine humor, however, it weould be better to tone it down just a tad.
There is one drug use reference/possible interaction, which I don't like. It just made me lower my score from 9 to 8. We don't need that in games.

Comment: This is a little bit kindler and gentler than the Hurrell Brothers' games, so it might be suitable for a, say, 16- year-old, with a little adult supervision. It's a soft 17+ game.

Note: The game is very, very challenging. It will take many tries before you will get good enough to win.

Sincerely,

Rusk Reeder

"Not bad at all"

date: July 18, 2009

You have to search about for all the items to complete the quest, but lit gradually comes together and makes sense in the end. Ultimately satisfy, with good art an dialogue considering it was translated from German. A fine job.

"Good Premise, but..."

submission: The Lusty Barfly
date: July 15, 2009

Decent premise and good atmosphere and music. However, I'm not sure the dialogue entirely makes sense. There's just not a lot of depth to it. There needs to be a better reason for her to want the tape than just to get you to dance with her on her birthday so that she enjoys herself.

Sincere,

"Okay, but only okay"

submission: Virtua Playa
date: June 30, 2009

A bit too macho for me and somewhat simplistic, but some of the questions make sense. The game works, but it's not great, just okay. I'm glad not to see any nudity, but the idea of "handling" girls doesn't do much for me.

Achievement Unlocked

"A clever, fun game."

date: June 30, 2009

This is a really well-programmed, fun game that you can just kind of hang out it in. It has a lot of good humor too. For a game that doesn't take itself very seriously, a lot of programming work went into it. For that, my hat's off to you. A couple of achievements are hard to figure out without cheating, but even the "cheating" is ingenious.

Murloc RPG

"Unmediocre for sure!"

submission: Murloc RPG

Along with the two Pico Sim Dates, this is the best game I have found on Newgrounds. This game even has real animation in it. It also has a great plot and gameplay with good humor throughout. The difficulty is just about right. Some real professional work. It would be hard to improve this game much.

A great RPG.

"You would want to date these girls?"

date: June 22, 2009

The game works, but it's really pretty trashy. Who would really want to date girls like these? All of the drug use makes the game meaningless to me. Yuuk.

Twinkle Revue Sim Date 2

"Better Quality than Most Sim Date Games"

date: May 18, 2009

Overview:
This is a good Sim Date Game that with the exception of the optional nudity, which is not all that good (yeah, I had to try it out), and the coarse betginning is a nice, sweet game.

Pros:
Fine artwork despite most of it being copied, though that is acknowledged.
The girls have distlinct personalities.
Decent music and very oriental in flavor.
Good central plot.
Fairly easy to learn to play, though still challenging.
Some good humor.
Dates are really fun.
Nice and sweet.
Bug free as far as I can tell.

Cons:
Optional nudity is unnecessary. Game would have been better without it.
Beginning has some coarse language and feels out of place with the rest of the game.
Not a total fan of the interface, in which the girls get in your way, but it does work.

Tips, hints:
Go to the magic mountain a lot in the beginning and build up your energy by
taking the hard path. That will allow you to have a lot more movement and
do a lot more things each day.
Each girl has a different item that she's crazy about. figure out what that item
is and it will help you on dates immensely. Examply: Rose will go crazy for a
mushroom, which you can get by defeating the monkey on one of the
mountains.
I would advise against going after Violet, the sourpuss. It's a sad ending.

Summary:
One of the better Sim Date Games and generally a nice and sweet game with the exception of the optional nudity, which you can bypass, and the crude opening. Probably suitable for those 15 and above with some minimal parental guidance.

Sincerely,

Rusk Reeder

Final Fantasy Simdate RPG

"Fabulous Artwork But Ultimately a Tedious Letdown"

date: April 15, 2009

Overview:
This could have been a great game, but the bugs and lack of any real point to the game let it down.

Pros:
Beautiful, professional-quality artwork--if you did it.
Nice, sweet, and pretty girls.

Cons:
Lots of bugs. Of course, that is acknowledged.
Repetitious music will drive you nuts eventually.
Needs a point, like an end goal.
Need to have some real jobs, like being a spaceship pilot, scientist, miner, etc.
Progression is way too slow and tedious.

Comments:
This has the potential of being a great game. But clicking on star after star for no real reason does not a great game make. If you can make Yuna blush when she kisses you, you can make this a better game. As hopeless as it seems, it should be remade.

Tip: Yes, it doesn't seem to want to load. Try opening it in the Pop-up link.

Sincerely,

Rusk
